The Chow Chows
Unfortunately fertility has not come easy for us and we pray we get to welcome children into our home, one way or another, one day. At the moment, our immediate family consists of Steve and I, and our two fluffy chow chows.
Cinnamon (Bear) is a beautiful red rescue chow that was abused and neglected at a puppy mill that was shut down by an amazing rescue called National Mill Dog Rescue in Colorado. They do AMAZING things, rescuing and rehoming so many dogs each year. Cinnamon has come a long way from the timid, fearful girl she once was when we adopted her in January 2021. We’re still working with her and a professional trainer to get her to an even better place, but it’s rewarding to see her thrive!
Yeti (Bear) is a handsome cream chow that we found at a breeder in the midwestern US that breeds for good temperament. We got him in hopes of providing a confident companion for Cinnamon Bear and although they haven’t been together long, we’re already seeing Cinnamon come even further out of her shell.
Yeti is a sweet, fluffy little guy that just loves to follow me around and even loves attention. For those of you that know the Chow breed, this is not common! It’s such a joy (and a lot of work) raising a puppy, and I feel grateful to have these two fluff balls in our lives! They are the SWEETEST!
